We are very happy to announce that today is Andrea’s 21st birthday! We wish her a very special day, Andrea and her team have been so good to us this last year and we are ever humbled and thankful for having someone so wonderful to post about. News is a little slow right now but I know it won’t be for long!

Andrea was back on last night’s all new Desperate Housewives and it was so nice to see her come home. I know there’s been so little Andrea news lately but hopefully with 2011 just starting there will be a whole lot more.

It looks like our favorite teenager is returning to Wisteria Lane! Andrea Bowen returns to Desperate Housewives on January 9th you’ve heard it here first. We’ve got the stills and it looks like Julie has gone back to her blond roots and is going to see her mom after last Sunday’s rioting 2010 finale. Andrea has been super quiet lately but with Preacher’s Daughter and now this latest episode, it looks like we’ll still have a lot of her on our screens in the next while.
Andrea was featured in the Watch What You Watch PSA by the Creative Coalition. I found this by complete fluke today while reading Tim Daly’s tweets. Dana Delany is co president of the Coalition and some of you may know that I run dana-delany.org as well.

The flick follows Jenna (Bowen), a competitive horse rider who is left paralyzed and her equestrian dreams shattered. She joins a physical therapy program as part of a clinical trial study but she’s hesitant to start the program. Wheelchair bound, Jenna’s life completely changes as she starts, her old friends and boyfriend disappear and lonely and frustrated, Jenna comes close to giving up. With the help of her new found friends and next door neighbor, ex-rodeo cowboy Will Dutton (Malambri), she finds inspiration to try and walk and ride again.

Michelle Mower will direct from her own script, with Adam Donaghey and Susan Elkins producing. Production will begin later this month in Houston. <
“Preacher’s Daughter” centers on the estranged daughter of a small-town minister who’s forced to return to the strict, religious home of her youth — where she must confront the troubled relationships that caused her to leave four years before.
Bowen can next be seen in Hallmark’s original film “After the Fall” next month. She has also appeared in Lifetime’s “Girl, Positive,” for which she won a Prism Award, and has made guest appearances on “The Closer,” “Boston Public,” and “Law and Order.”
We’re excited, two Andrea movies in the next two years. Hopefully there will be more, Housewives has just started again and I already miss her presence!

The 20-year-old actress debuted her new hair at French Connection’s Fall 2010 Collection debut party last week in West Hollywood.
Andrea will star alongside Step Up 3D’s Rick Malambri in the upcoming After The Fall.
